THE CAN AND BOTTLE DRIVE #2
November 18th
We want to thank our volunteers, team members, and members of the community for donating their cans and bottles in order to fund a class of Thunderbird elementary an online workshop from SeaSmart! We raised $100, so thank you everyone.

BEACH CLEANUP #2
October 7th - Hadden Park
Our second beach cleanup was a major home run! Our incredible members and volunteers collected 5.5 kg of waste in total! A highlight is finding around 400 cigarette butts.

PLAY TO READ
September 26th
On September 26th, we held multiple trivia nights to raise money in order to purchase books for a couple of elementary schools! In total, we raised around $150. We want to thank everyone who participated in the games, and to our sponsors as well!

CLIMATE ACTION YOUTH TALK #1
September 25th
Last year, the downtown climate strike was held on September 25th. With this year’s global pandemic, we decided to hold a virtual discussion open to any youth member interested in talking about our environment and sustainability. This discussion sparked thoughtful collaborations, and sharing of experiences!

THE CAN AND BOTTLE DRIVE
August 23rd - Vancouver Aquarium
On August 23rd, the fundraising team and some volunteers went around our community and collected a lot of cans and bottles! In total, MLCC raised a total of $345.25! At MLCC, we believe in supporting educational programs and opportunities related to marine life. Therefore, on September 7th, we are happy to announce that we donated all the funds to the Vancouver Aquarium - to support their various educational programs.

BEACH CLEANUP #1
August 22nd - Jericho Beach
On August 22nd, our beach cleanup team and a couple of volunteers held a cleanup at Jericho Beach. In total, they collected around 6 kg worth of waste! To see our “Top 3 Most Found Items”, visit our Instagram account!

VIRTUAL SPEAKER WEEK
July 20th-24th, 2020
